We extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, teammates, and all who knew and loved Michael Roberson during this profoundly difficult time. His passing following an automobile accident is a heartbreaking loss for the entire community of Lincoln Land Community College, as well as for everyone whose lives he touched through his presence, dedication, and character.
Michael was a student-athlete whose commitment extended far beyond the field. As a catcher for the LLCC Loggers baseball team, he embodied discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. His passion for the game was evident in every inning he played, and his work ethic reflected a deep respect for both his teammates and the sport itself. Those who played alongside him will remember not only his athletic ability, but also his leadership, encouragement, and steady presence behind the plate.
A graduate of Providence Catholic High School, Michael continued to build his athletic journey at John A. Logan College before joining LLCC. At each step, he earned respect for his dedication, humility, and team-first mindset. Coaches and peers alike recognized him as someone who brought focus and heart to every opportunity he was given.
Beyond athletics, Michael will be remembered as a young man of promise—someone whose future held great potential both on and off the field. His loss is felt deeply not only in the athletic community, but across all who had the privilege of knowing him personally.
In this time of sorrow, we stand with his family and loved ones in grief and remembrance. May they find strength in the support surrounding them and comfort in the lasting impact Michael made in his time with us. His legacy will endure in the memories shared, the lives he influenced, and the spirit he brought to every game and every day.
