It is with deep sadness that we share the loss of a cherished member of our school community, Mrs. Deb Berger, a dedicated Spanish teacher at Upper Sandusky High School, who has passed away following a courageous battle with cancer.
Mrs. Berger was a valued educator and an integral part of our school family. Through her passion for teaching and her commitment to her students, she made a lasting impact both inside and outside the classroom. She inspired countless students with her love of language and culture, while also encouraging them to grow as individuals. Her patience, kindness, and unwavering dedication created an environment where students felt supported and motivated to succeed.
Beyond her role as a teacher, Mrs. Berger was known for her strong family values and deep faith, which guided her life and interactions with others. She brought warmth, compassion, and integrity to everything she did, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues, students, and the wider community. Her presence will be greatly missed within our halls and beyond.
As we grieve this loss together, we recognize the impact it may have on our students and staff. Counselors and clergy will be available at the high school in the coming days to provide support to anyone in need. We encourage all members of our RAM Family to lean on one another during this difficult time and to honor Mrs. Berger’s memory through kindness and care for one another.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with further details to be shared as they become available.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Mrs. Berger’s family, friends, colleagues, and students. She will be remembered with gratitude, respect, and lasting appreciation for the difference she made in so many lives.
