It is with profound sadness that the McLeese Lake Fire Department shares the passing of one of our valued members, Bonnie Woodworth. Bonnie passed away on March 14, 2026, shortly after the loss of her beloved spouse, Mike Taylor. Their passing has left a deep void in our community, and this has been an especially difficult time for all who knew and loved them.
Bonnie was a dedicated member of our Road Safety Crew and a familiar, cherished presence throughout McLeese Lake. She was known for her warm and welcoming spirit, her radiant smile, and her lively personality that could brighten any gathering. Bonnie had a special gift for bringing people together, whether through her kindness, her humor, or the simple joy she found in connecting with others.
She will be fondly remembered for her many talents and passions. Bonnie delighted friends and neighbors with her delicious homemade treats, especially her well-loved cupcakes and baked goods. She was also a regular participant in local markets, where her creativity shone through her handmade crafts. Her playful nature was evident in the many memories she created with others, including the lighthearted “oven mitt” game that brought laughter to those who shared in it.
Above all, Bonnie was known for her generous heart. She gave freely of her time, her talents, and her compassion, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.
Today, as many remember Bonnie on her birthday, we honor her life and the joy she brought to so many. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the memories we hold dear.
We extend our deepest condolences to Bonnie’s family, friends, and all who knew her and Mike. May they both rest in peace, forever remembered with love.
