It is with deep sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Margaret Robertson, affectionately known to many as “Mum” and “Granny,” who passed away on Sunday, 26th April. Margaret was a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose presence brought warmth, kindness, and strength to all who knew her. She was deeply loved by her family and held in the highest regard by her wider community.
Margaret was a life member of the Terang Mortlake Football Netball Club, a recognition that reflects her enduring support, commitment, and connection to the club over many years. Her legacy is closely woven into the fabric of the MCC community, where she will be remembered not only for her dedication but also for the generations of her family who have proudly represented the club.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to the entire Robertson family during this time of profound loss. In particular, our thoughts are with Arthur, her devoted husband, her sons Wesley and family, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including Todd, all of whom continue to carry forward her strong connection to the club as life members and valued contributors. The Robertson family’s involvement across multiple teams, seasons, and formats is a testament to Margaret’s lasting influence and the values she helped instil.
Margaret, lovingly known as “Granny” to many beyond her immediate family, will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering support of those around her. Her legacy extends far beyond the field, living on in the memories shared, the lives she touched, and the community she helped shape.
We offer our sincere condolences to the Robertson family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing Margaret. May she rest in peace, and may her memory continue to inspire and live on within the MCC and wider community for generations to come.
